When I first found that I was alloted Neigrihms through All India Quota, I was excited as well as sad. Excited beacause I would finally get into a Medical College, sad because its too far from my home (Jaipur). When I entered the Scotland of East, Shillong, I was totally mesmerized by its beauty. The lush green mountains, the pleasant weather and you steering past the clouds. All that was too awesome. Neigrihms is located 6 kms from the main city. But there are regular buses and 100s of taxis that travel in the route. The campus of Neigrihms is too huge. You will need a car inside to go from one place to another. The college is equipped with modern and latest technologies. One of which is the Virtual Dissection Table which is first in India. Classrooms are Audio Visual equipped with Computers and generally teachers teach on the digital media. Faculty is very helpful and supportive. They help you in every possible way. Moreover there is no ragging as the anti ragging committee is very strict. Hostels are very spacious and free of cost. Mess food is horrible. If you are a vegetarian (like me) you will need biscuits and wafers most of the time to survive. The seniors are also very helpful. In short I would just like to say, if you get Neigrihms, dont think twice and join it..!! We are here to help you.
